BricoDepot optimizes its label management with EfaliaCompose

BricoDepot, a major player in mass distribution specializing in DIY and home improvement, has implemented the Efalia Compose desktop publishing solution to complete its SAP ERP. This project made it possible to centralize the production of product labels while decentralizing their printing in the various warehouses. Thanks to this solution, BricoDepot has gained autonomy in the design and management of labels, while optimizing the distribution of documents, regardless of the quality of the network of the various sites. Implemented in just 4 months, this solution generated significant economies of scale.

Challenge

Brico Dépôt used SAP as its central ERP, but this system did not perfectly meet the specific needs of the company in terms of the production and management of product labels. The main challenges were managing prints in network environments that varied from site to site, and the need for autonomy in designing and managing labels.

  • Need to manage editions in warehouses despite network infrastructures of varying quality
  • Need to optimize the production and decentralized editing of product labels
  • Desire to gain autonomy in the design and management of labels
  • Looking for flexibility to make the information system evolve without impacting documentary production

“The establishment of a publishing base has allowed us to achieve significant economies of scale. We have gained autonomy in the design and management of product labels, while benefiting from increased flexibility to evolve our information system without changing document production parameters.”
